1. I've been getting a lot of questions about foreign rights lately. French rights, in particular. Unfortunately, there haven't been any sales outside the U.S., but we're working on it! Thank you so much for asking. It's amazing to me that so many people want to get their hands on SOME QUIET PLACE.

2. There have also been e-mails asking about ARCs and free swag, neither of which I have in my possession. ARCs are a possibility, though. Check out my Contact page for more information on this. In regards to swag, there might be some in the future. How awesome would it be to see Fear's face on a bookmark? In fact, a reviewer made this awesome banner. It almost made me cry:

3. Someone asked me what the meaning/reasoning is behind the title. Well, you'll see one of the characters actually say 'some quiet place' towards the end of the book. I don't want to give anything away, though, so you'll have to read it!

4. Colds suck. That is all.

5. Saw The Host recently. Those of you who follow me on various social media sites know that it's one of my absolute favorite books. So imagine my excitement to see the movie. (Be warned, there are spoilers ahead.) I went in with such high expectations... which is maybe why it was such a disappointment. Scenes that weren't cheesy in the book were suddenly cringe-worthy on the screen. Saroise Ronan was fabulous, but there were so many inconsistencies in the plot and making that I couldn't really enjoy it. (Like Wanderer walking through the desert in heels? Really?) And we didn't see enough character development, so when everyone was so upset about Wanda leaving it didn't really ring true. Anyway, I don't want to ruin everything for you, so I'll end this rant. Maybe it'll grow on me next time I watch it.

Have a great week!
